Wanted to post some of the fiber happenings here, in midst of pie making, football watching, Netflix movie watching, vaccuming, laundry, blah, blah, blah.

Fall Scarf

Fall Scarf

Here is the fall scarf all finished.  If you recall, this is the Berroco Jasper from Great Yarns in Raleigh.  It is on my porch drying after a quick rinse.  I really didn’t think it needed blocked.  I just shaped it in how I want it.  I love the varigation of the yarn.

Here is some yarn I spun from Blue Faced Leicester, dyed in Forest Viola, and purchased from Miss Babs.  Her yarns and rovings rock!  LOVE, LOVE her stuff.  I can’t wait to see more of her stuff at SAFF in just a few short weeks!

Next up, here is some Blue Faced Leicester that I hand dyed myself, and am currently spinning on Zelda.  Now, the Forest Viola was my first experience in spinning with BFL.  I rather like it.  I am getting a better technique now, and starting to spin finer. (Never thought that day would come!)  I had wanted to put some of the green into it, but when I added it to the red, orange and gold, just didn’t look right.  Wasn’t the right green.  I used Cushing Acid Dyes to get these colors BTW.  Not sure what I am going to do with this yarn.  Have to think about it.
